A road trip around south-central Spain, starting and ending in Valencia
My friend Adrienne was presenting at a conference in Valencia, and invited me to join her on a trip to Spain. After spending a few days in Valencia, we rented a car and drove south, visiting Alicante, Cartagena, Granada, Sevilla, Almagro, Consuegra, Córdoba, and Madrid.
Highlights included the Roman Theatre archaeological site and museum in Cartagena, the Alhambra by night, Flamenco in Sevilla, the forest of columns and arches at the Mezquita of Córdoba, Ballet and food in Madrid, and the enormous Fallas sculptures in Valencia.
